Studio – glass, slate & the river

You can visit my studio by appointment all year – ring me on 01559 371585 to arrange a visit but probably not through the winter months as there’s no heating. I’ve had visitors add hats and scarves before they come through the door!

My glass studio is tucked away behind my home in a secluded valley about 6 miles from Newcastle Emlyn, near the borders of Ceredigion, Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire. Surrounded by garden, fields, running water and woodland it’s a near-perfect place to live and work.

All the pieces are created here in my studio, each one a unique slice of colour-soaked glass to bring light, sparkle and memories to you and your home. Choose from freestanding glass panels, earrings, bowls, pendants or sun-catchers. Or even have a word about ordering a bespoke piece just for you.

There’s also my online shop – I will be adding new pieces regularly – and remember to follow me on Facebook and Instagram to see latest creations and glimpses inside the studio.

Go to the find me page for a full list of shops and galleries stocking my work.

The studio also showcases a selection of beautiful Welsh slate pieces from Aled Jenkins. Clocks, pendants, earrings and sculpted birds have all been created from reclaimed slate – stunningly smooth, they have an unbelievable tactile quality that you will love.

Our beautiful Teifi river, flowing from Teifi pools above Tregaron all the way to the estuary at Cardigan, is suffering from an overload of pollution – as are, sadly, many rivers in the UK. Too many nutrients, mainly from sewage and agriculture are ending up in the river and leading to a dramatic reduction in biodiversity levels. The Teifi is a Special Area of Conservation, but even this doesn’t protect it from the ravages of human excess.

Along with many others who love our river passionately Save The Teifi is trying to raise awareness, collect citizen science data and fly the flag for the Teifi wherever we can. You can find out more information here and follow us on Facebook and Instagram for the latest news.

I am creating some glass ripples and river goddesses to help raise funds for our projects – head over to my shop page to take a look.
