morning walk across the meadow behind the house…..puffs of pollen from the buttercups beneath my feet……red clover, yellow rattle……tall spires of plantain…….fluffy orbs of pompom seedheads from last month’s dandelions……….tiny jewelled beetles clustering on the dock leaves, males locking horns over the females……….blackbirds serenading the sun
