Description
A kiln-formed glass panel of springtime greens, yellows and blues.
Have you walked the coastal path south from Cwmtydu towards Llangrannog? If you have, you’ll recognise this vista as Ynys Lochtyn headland comes into view. It’s such an iconic line across the sea and sky.
Springtime gorse scent fills the air, the ferns are newly-unfurled and the sun’s warmth caresses your face. It’s a real fern I’ve used here, sandwiched between the layers of glass and fired into the panel. Streams of deep indigo bubbles ripple across the sea and sky, each a tiny time capsule from the day the panel was fired.
You could have this window onto a very special place all year round, sitting on a windowsill catching the sunlight, or on a shelf or mantelpiece with a light behind. Maybe next to a shell or pebble you collected from the beach.
