there is an extensive range including jewellery, dishes and bowls, hanging ornaments, candleholders, panels, coasters and paperweights
much of the jewellery - pendants, earrings, brooches, bangles - includes dichroic glass
to give that added magpie-magic sparkle,
and all the glass expresses Moira's love of colour and form
many pieces also directly reflect her passion for the land and wildlife
surrounding her studio - especially the crows and ravens

" I have always loved glass and my journey with it is constantly evolving - from collecting worn and wonderfully jewel-like beach glass as a child to
life as a full-time glass artist -
-it is the vibrancy of glass that appeals to me, the colours you can add to it to make it sing, the way it plays with light, the way no two pieces are ever the same after a firing "

Moira uses various methods, all under the general heading of warm or kiln-formed glass,
including fusing, casting, lustring, and slumping
the jewellery reflects the world on a miniature scale - Moira likes to layer up the glass so that sometimes up to six layers are used for one pendant - if you then look into that pendant new worlds open up before your eyes
the panels and dishes are also layered but not as deep - here she works on a larger scale and the pieces are bolder blocks of colour, often more direct representations
each pendant, panel or dish is a unique piece - the pendants are generally cut from a larger fused slab and as such are completely unrepeatable
